Metal Surfaces (MSI) has reviewed the Governor of California’s order and determined that MSI falls within the definition of critical infrastructure sectors, including but not limited to medical, defense, transportation and critical manufacturing sectors. For full details please review our COVID-19 Operations Letter.
MSI is undergoing its most aggressive expansion in years. We have added:
- Electroless Nickel Teflon (per Boeing, Parker Hannifin and AMS Specifications).
- Fluoride Phosphate Chemfilm for Titanium (added to our Nadcap Scope, along with Etching, as of January 2020)
- Clear Trivalent on Aluminum.
- Gold plating line expansion to support Aerojet Rocketdyne’s RS 25 rocket engine to support NASA’s Mars Mission and the Moon is currently under way
- Expansion of POP (Plating on Plastics) capabilities to support weight reduction efforts for Aerospace.
- Expanding plating capabilities for EN, EN/Cad, EN-Zn/Ni EN Black and Black Cad for the connector component industry.
MSI’s processes continue to grow with the help of many long term employees and expertise of our Technical/Engineering Department. We continue to grow in customers and orders, but we still have more room for expansion.
TE has approved MSI's new Black Zinc Nickel "Z" plating as defined by MIL-DTL-38999L. It offers the same level of electrical performance, harsh environment protection and temperature ranges as cadmium fininshes. Thank you MSI's engineering staff for all the creative hard work.
MSI has approved a new black electroless nickel process, and we are looking for work.
